Launch of 5G Trial: Villages to Benefit from Internet Connectivity 👱

The Department of Telecom has allotted spectrum to service providers to launch 5G trials in the country. Telecom operators have been allotted spectrum in various locations in the 700 MHz band, 3.3-3.6 GHz (GHS) band and 24.25-28.5 GHz band, Telecom officials said.

In the first phase, the trial is likely to be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Gujarat and Hyderabad. It is reported that each telecom service provider will conduct trials in rural and semi-urban areas in addition to cities. As a result, 5G technology will be available across the country and will not be limited to urban areas, the telecom ministry said.

On May 4, DOT approved applications from Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and MTNL to conduct 5G trials without using technology from Chinese companies.

♚ 5G Benefit to villages

5G is not available in most countries. Only experiments and pilot projects are taking place. It will take at least two years to present it in full. Infrastructure, equipment, and network technology are all needed. Much emphasis has been placed on the government level. There are three main goals.

Don’t lag behind in preparing technology. Make it comprehensively available to everyone. If all technologies were initially available only to one elite, then 5G should be rolled out simultaneously to all parts of the country. The biggest beneficiaries of 5G will be in agriculture and rural healthcare.

Technology is not just about borrowing from other countries, but also about presenting India's findings in this field. 5G is not just a mobile technology. This opens up other possibilities as well as the ability to transfer large amounts of data quickly. For example, for those in the agricultural sector, getting weather forecasts and the like in the most accurate video can help a lot. Its assistance can also be utilized to provide the best treatment to those in rural areas. Various companies have taken steps to manufacture devices with 5G technology.

With the advent of 5G, this will become the basis of technology. There will be a situation where it will not be possible to survive without data transfer and internet communication. Therefore, there is no doubt that 5G will become a core technology. Big efforts are being made to expand broadband in rural areas through Digital India and BharatNet. With the advent of Geo, Idea, Vodafone and Airtel also had to upgrade their technology. Therefore, in many places, after 2G, 4G will be available instead of 3G. All this will speed up the implementation of 5G in India. Of course, Kerala will become a state that adopts 5G speeds on mobile. But it remains to be seen how quickly Kerala will adopt 5G to improve the business environment.
